Question about TTG and OSAP
I know the TTG is only offered to students who are eligible for OSAP this year. I went through my OSAP application and I was told that I am eligible for a certain amount of money - but it is so low that I don't even want to bother.

Do I NEED to accept the OSAP money in order to qualify for the TTG? Or can I deny the OSAP money (even though I am eligble) and still get the TTG?

Thanks!

You can apply for the Textbook grant by itself, which is what I did. Though applying for OSAP makes you eligible for another bursary that you are almost guaranteed to receive if I remember correctly.

You can't apply for the Textbook grant anymore unless you're on OSAP. They changed it this year.

Great. Now, since my dad makes slightly too much money, I can't work at Mac during the summer, or during the year, I can't get OSAP, and now I can't get the textbook grant. And I'm barely making any money this summer because my job isn't giving me hour. :(

May I ask why you can't work during the year? The jobs are beginning to be posted on August 1st. Usually they're like ten hours a week too.

I can work during the year, just not at Mac. I dropped off applications around Westdale earlier in the summer, but most places said to come back in August. There was actually a summer job at Mac that they really wanted to hire me for, that probably would have carried over into the school year (working at the theatre) but they couldn't because McWork wouldn't accept me.
