Questions about Labs
Hi guys! I have a question concerning the labs for science courses like, molec bio, or physics. Are the labs written by hand or typed?

Thanks!

Took two physics courses, both had 3 hour written labs with a pre lab you are required to complete outside of the lab beforehand. Chem had 4/5 (if I recall correctly) labs that were same as the just mentioned physics labs, with one lab which was due 1 week after and had to be typed. And what is this bio you speak of?

lol ignore my mistake from earlier and thanks for the response. So they were all typed - including the pre-lab? The reason I ask this is so I can get an understanding of how much time labs will take - it takes me a LOT longer to write by hand rather than type.

Doing the actual labs takes up most of the time. If you're able to finish the experiments in time, ie keep a good pace, you should have no problem. This is first year experience, not sure if it will apply to upper years. Dont worry too much about how long it takes to write it out by hand. Pre labs (again only took Phys 1D03 Phys 1E03 and Chem 1EE3) are hand written, ~5 questions, mostly based on lecture theory or prelab readings.

Bio 1A03 and 1M03 usually have post lab/tutorial assignments and these are usually due the day following your lab/tutorial so whether you write or type them up is up to you.
Chem 1A03/1AA3 labs are all done in the lab and to be submitted before leaving the lab so you can't type it up. You're always given a sheet with a bunch of questions for the prelab so you might as well write on it cuz it would be too troublesome to feed it through your printer.
Physics 1B03/1BB3 - Not sure if it will keep the same structure in the new courses but the first course's labs are all done in the lab and must be submitted before leaving. The second course has formal lab reports for each lab so those are obviously typed.
