Questions about Triple Bunk and Loft
So, I got assigned a triple bunk and loft....which I really did not want....
What is it exactly? I like to have my own privacy and such, but it seems like I won't be getting too much in one of these rooms. Can I get some insight on this? Is there any way to get a different room?:(

Basically a Triple room is usually a converted double room, so it will not be too roomy. One side has 2 bunk beds while the other is a single with storage underneath and the beds are assigned so it is not a first come, first serve deal. Depends on the residence I guess, but my friend had one and it was cramped but she was still happy with it.

So there's no way out of this huh? I was one of the unlucky ones who lost the lottery and got stuck with this?:(. Is there any positives to this, aside from financials? I know it would be cool if you became good friends with the others in the room, but I'm looking for other things that could make me more comfortable with this.

Honestly, it completely depends on your roommate. If you got a roommate who smokes pot and drinks all day and is loud and ignorant, then you are screwed. It all depends on the people living there, but the room itself is fine.

I got assigned a triple bunk and loft last year in Hedden, it wasn't that bad. It was three separate bunk beds with a desk underneath the bed. The good thing is that you and your roommates don't have to pay for a mini-fridge.

Ahhh okay, any good news will make me feel better about being stuck in this position lol, thanks guys. Btw, I'm in the Moutlon Hall....I know that link gives me some good information on it, but just curious, did I get the short end of the "bunk and loft" residences? I'm not too happy that I got Moutlon and this room, but I can't really do anything about it.

I got put into a bunk & loft in first year and it wasn't any of my preferences and I was pretty upset about it. It's honestly not as bad as you probably think its going to be! There's more space for your stuff than it seems and everyone I met in residence just kind of adjusted to the lack of privacy thing. Besides, your roommates could have different schedules than you so there won't always be 3 of you in that space.
Just try to make the most of it! I ended up having a great experience despite my disappointment at first

I lived in a triple bunk & loft also in my first year. In terms of privacy, i think it's pretty much the same as a double room, and you'll get used to it very quickly (as you will have bigger things to worry about once school starts). One of my roommates didn't mind changing in the room, and just told us whenever he was about to get naked...lol
Personally, the biggest advantage for us was that we were all in the same faculty, and I automatically had 2 more study buddies. No need to meet up with friends at the library, phones calls, etc. This definitely helped boost my marks in first year.

Basically there are 2 bunk beds. One is a full bunk bed the other is a "loft" meaning the desk is right under the bunk bed. Then ther are 2 other spots for tables.
