you can "mirror" a program. i.e take all the courses required to do said level 2 program but not actually be in it. If your marks don't improve by the end of 2nd year they may kick you out.

I think it would be a normal BSc. in the faculty you're in or something. Like, if you're doing Life Sciences, you'll be enrolled into the three-year BSc. Life Sciences program.

Not sure, though!

Honestly, this is very rare, cause this would mean that you got lower then a 4 average, which means you failed to stay in Engineering. If your average is above a 4 overall, you will get into a second year program!

Good luck!

in science you need at least a 6.0 to move on to the honors programs. if you fail to meet the 6.0 you go into the bsc life sci (non honors, 3 year program). it's not a big deal since you can transfer later on in 3rd year.

what happens if you screwed up and took a history elective and failed - does that have any effect on one getting into their program?

Most program requirements have the cut-off grades around 6.0. If you are finding it hard to get a C+ then you might as well be asking yourself what you are going to do in lv.2 where things only get more difficult.
