read course details
hi there! i'm entrolled in life science and i'm selecting courses now. i'm confused about the course details. C is lecture but what the differences between C01 and C01, and when it's offered in term 2 , they change into C03 and C04. What do they represent for? The other question is about the following labs. If i want to select biology 1a03, i'll have one lab every other week. But how to read the details in timetable. It's like https://adweb.cis.mcmaster.ca /mtt/... =1A03&t=1&d=DL01 Tu 14:3017:201 BSB/213 L02 Tu 14:3017:201 BSB/213 L03 Tu 14:3017:201 BSB/214 L04 Tu 14:3017:201 BSB/214 L05 Tu 14:3017:201 BSB/217

There're many Tuestdays or wednesdays,it seems that i'll have lab everyday. How to understand the time?? thanks!

C01 and C01 are the samething...
  • C represents Core, which is basically your lecture time. Ignore the numbers after C, like C03 and C04 because they just indicate what lecture section you're in. This probably means different profs; although, some profs teach more than one core.
  • As for labs, you will only be enrolled in 1 lab section. Say you're in L01, you will have lab every other Tuesday from 14:30-17:20 at BSB (Burke Science Building) room #213.
It's not that confusing to understand the master timetable...check the undergraduate calendar if you're confused whether or not you have more than one lab (which you will not have btw), tutorials, etc.

The year may be divided into two terms but that doesn't mean they are two distinct terms.

In term one you may have C01 and C02 and in term two is just continues C03 and C04.

They are just lectures slots. They have different times and different days of the week. So you just choose 1 Core (which as you said is a lecture).

By the way, links to the master time table don't work because you have to load the search before you can see the courses. Yeah it's messed up but whatever.

L09 We 14:30 17:20 1 BSB/213
First you have L09 which will be the lab section.
This is followed by the day of the week, in this case Wednesday
Next you have the time interval of your lab, in this case it will be taking place at 14:30 to 17:20 (or 2:30pm to 5:20pm)
After this you have the term it is located it, in this case term 1.
Lastly you have the room your lab will be located in, which will be the Burke Science Building room 213.

I mean the master time table, you can't link somone to the master timetable without them having it already open. I don't know why it's like that. :\

I'm not sure if the glow works, I couldn't get it to work. But you can change the color of your username. You have to use the colour codes:
