Reinstatement Letter Format
Hey everyone,

I know there are tons of threads regarding reinstatement letters, and I have browsed through each of them. However, I was hoping to get some clarification on a few things. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

- How should the section of the letter regarding "What went wrong?" be written pertaining to a medical reason? I've been told that it shouldn't be chronologically written, is this true?

Example: On October 5th, 2011 I went to the hospital for a minor illness. However, on November 12th, 2011 it became more serious and resulted in me missing a midterm. Still unable to be diagnosed....

-How long should the "What went wrong" section be, I know that the reinstatement committee looks at change more highly, however since my reason is mainly medical, should I make it more specific to dates?

There are no hard and fast rules.

I would write a draft first and edit it to make it better (whatever that means - lengthening the what went wrong section, shortening it, going chronologically, going in a different order, etc).
