The school seriously doesn't have a ceremony of some sort?
I find that pretty unacceptable... o_o

I probably will, I dunno...like, the school's not doing ANYTHING to remember? Even a 20 minute ceremony without a veteran...
University's always talk about awareness and respect... just doesn't make sense not to do ANYTHING for rememberance day... ._.

I hear ya. A community of 20,000+ should be able to have their own ceremony. At the same time, people are working to integrate McMaster with the rest of the Hamilton community, and I think it would be beneficial for everyone to remember together as Canadians.

sort of going to have to agree with this...I know a lot of high schools that even have veterans stop by on rememberance day for even small ceremonies or presentations...I wouldve thought a university that has sent many students to various wars and conflicts in the past would have at least something going?

I would also like some kind of ceremony on campus, as I have class at 11:30, and so I can't go to any of the off-campus ceremonies.

I'm surprised too. In high school, we always had an asembly, a "play" (students reenacted the war), poems, etc. There were never any vets there. I wish we had something at McMaster.

There usually is a ceremony in Con Hall (on the 2nd floor of University Hall). I'm not sure where the info is posted but I've gone to that one for the past 3 years.
