Requesting a Transcript
Hi,
Just a quick question...
I just finished first year, and I need a transcript. Can I request one now? I'm not sure since we have only received interim grades.
Thanks in advance!

When you request your transcript there are options for WHEN you want to receive it, one of which being after April exams, which would be after all grades are finalized.

Thanks!
So, can I request one now? If so, how do I go about requesting for one, and how long does it usually take?
Thanks again!

Yup, you can request it now. Typically a transcript takes 5-7 business days to be "ready". However, since yours would be for after exams, I would expect it would be ready about 7+ business days after the 30th. I'm of course assuming the requests that came in first would be processed first.

Oh okay... so I wouldn't be able to get a transcript before the 30th?

I'm not entirely positive. If you want one that has your grades finalized for the year I'd say most likely, no.
But you can always call up the office of the registrar and ask!

Alright, thanks!
I just found out that McMaster has a Rush Service. You can request a transcript, and you'll be able to recieve it the next day for a fee. I guess I'll be using that option on the 30th once finalized grades have been included on transcripts.
Thanks again!
