RES damage charges?
I checked my account statement and they charged me $35 for res damages fees. -_- They is totally unreasonable cause I spent an afternoon cleaning everything in my room, vacuuming again after my exam. Also I didn't break anything and put everything back in place. Is there anyone I can talk to about this ridiculous charge?

35$ is how much they charge for losing your garbage can or recycling bin. You sure you didn't accidentally lose one of those?

Or your roommate.
My roommate threw out her recyling bin, and we were both charged. And since I didn't say anything before the charge (because I didn't know...) I still had to pay.
So it may not even be you.

lol the RES fees are ridiculous. I had an email saying I owe them like $50 because there is a hole in the closet door that was there when I moved in. They made a huge deal out of it... I had proof (pictures ) and they said fine after hours of arguing.

I'm just curious; how do recycling bins get lost? Don't they remain in the room at all times?

Generally people have to empty their recycling/garbage bins in the garbage/recycling room. One hypothesis is that they could accidently leave it there and someone else takes it, another is that while moving out they could've accidentally taken it with them.

goodnews.inc says thanks to Cristina_n13 for this post.
