Hmm, that's odd. Mine says which person is assigned to which bed and such. I would call them just to check.. Perhaps you got a double room all to yourself

sumo, call them and ask them. They may not have assigned you a roommate just yet. Their extension number is 24342.

My roommate always finishes exams before I did, so I had the room to myself for a whole 2 weeks (1 week before the winter break and 1 week at the end). It was awesome XD

I also got the "unassigned" e-mail saying that I was on a very small list of students who were not yet assigned a room and have to wait for others to cancel. I tried phoning to get my lottery number but they wouldn't tell me, which is odd. I was guaranteed a room, so I guess I shouldn't worry about it.

Yeah, I guess this happens sometimes. Just sit tight and McMaster will make sure you have somewhere to live.

Could it be due to the fact that too many incoming first years had a 78% average.. so they got a residence guarantee?!

That's most likely the reason.

Yep, they'll probably change the percentage needed next year.

Yeah, make sense. Admission averages are slowly creeping up as well.

Definitely... I remember for Kin and Life Sci.. the admission average went up.. from 82-84.. to 86-88.. Just because of the applicants.. So I can only imagine what it's going to be like for incoming first years in 2010.
