To add onto Ronak's kernels of wisdom, please please please, on behalf of the 1000 Welcome Week reps moving you guys into res, do NOT label a guitar/amp/computer/anything that you find valuable to have us take. Take these with you into the line waiting for keys and then bring them up to your room yourself.
We don't want a dropped guitar on our conscience.
However, we'll be happy to move everything else!

Basically it's the same as highschool. If you are a binder person, then bring your binders. I tried to change (I'm a no binder person) and I stopped using my binders after a month.
So yeah, it's basically your study patterns... I find it easier to study out of a book.

im not a binder person either, but i used them all through highschool because of the endless amounts of handouts and mind numbing assignments.
is the handout situation different? cause i would prefere my notebooks and no lose-leafs.

Are giant 360 page notebooks bad? lol They're like divided into 5 sections with 72 pages each.
Also: How many pages do you typically use up in a notebook for one course?

last year in gr12 i used 1 200pg notebook for semester1 advanced fucntions AND semester2 calculus. and i have like 30pgs leftover. so im thinking if anything im gonna get at least 1 of those notebooks per course (that i plan to take notes in a notebook for)
but its probably all preference right. if your profs post their lectures/powerpoints etc, then you dont need to take very many notes in class.
but if you take notes from your book as you study/answer practice questions in notebooks then its different.

Yeah, I agree with melanie. I'll need at least a 200 or 300 page notebook per subject, just to have enough room. I always finished the 100-150 page ones in highschool, but with your style next year, you'll be able to tell in the first few weeks of school - e.g. with just lecture notes versus lecture notes & your own notes.

I think I might just use paper in class then rewrite everything neatly into my notebooks when I get back to rez.

Yep me too! That seems like the most likely thing I'll do, easier than carrying notebooks around campus as well! I'll have to make sure I'm up to date with being organized though, or notes can end up everywhere.

Hey Melanie, haha, I hope I'm on top :S. And yep I finished it. Here's how you check. Log in, go to the "courses" tab, then click on the course, to the right, there's a tab on the left that says "My Grades", and it should tell you your grade, and whether you were successful or not. There's also under the "assessments" tab, and you press "view all submissions." The first one is clearer though
