Residence Question
Can people apply for residence for just one term? Like go to residence second term if commuting is too difficult?

If you go on the waiting list or if a spot empties up (like if someone drops out) you would likely be able to. I am not aware of the likelihood of getting it since it all depends on demand for the spot

There isn't a specific application for that - you would have to go the residence office and talk to them about it. And the only way you would get a room is if someone got kicked out / withdrew from res, and a spot suddenly cleared up. It's possible though, I know a few people who have left res halfway through the year because they didn't like it.

If you do decide to go into residence you could apply as a January applicant, but the process would be a little different I believe

details should be up in October

I lived in residence for one semester during my final year as I only had a few courses left. In my two years of being a community adviser, I have seen a handful of students leave after one semester. Not too common but can happen.
