Residence Waiting List
hey guys!
I'm 65th on the residence waiting list and I was just wondering if you think I'll be able to get in? I don't know if I should start looking for off campus housing now, or wait until a bit later to see if I get res

thanks!

65th is really good, it's one of the highest positions on the list I've seen so far.

It's almost impossible to say what 'chance' you have at getting in, since it all depends on how many guaranteed residence students change their mind, as well as how many spots are available which isn't known.

I would always have a backup plan. Start looking at off-campus housing options.. there are a LOT of great student houses out there near campus, and a lot of first-year students looking for housemates to move in with right now

Browse the MacInsiders student housing marketplace to see:

You may also want to try the Mac Off Campus housing website: http://macoffcampus.mcmaster .ca/, and stop by the school if you can. Walking through neighbourhoods around campus to check out the "For Rent" ads can be really helpful (especially because you're seeing the house right away) as not all landlords will necessarily post ads online
