RESP procedure?
I am not entirely sure how RESPs generally work.

So my parents plan on paying the tuition and other sums to McMaster first and then reimbursing themselves from the RESP funds.

What documents would we need to get in order to do this? Is simply printing out a Proof of Payment enough?

Thank you in advance!

You get a letter from your RESP company. It's a form that you and the Registrar have to fill out. You can have the Registrar send the form directly to the RESP company.

You would receive a cheque in the mail and you would have to cash it before giving it back to your parents. That's the only thing that sucks because if you plan on applying to OSAP, that's a form of income even if your parents want to take back the money.
