Resumes on OSCAR
Is it possible to upload more than 10 resumes on OSCAR?
I'm trying to make my resumes tailored to every job.

Do resumes/cover letters get emailed to the employer, so that they still have a copy even if I remove it from OSCAR?

Thanks.

You should leave your resume up until each employer's recruiting process is done. Often they just access the files on OSCAR, so if you remove it, you may be S.O.L.

I don't think it's necessary to tailor your resume to every job. You should have one good resume, and then tailor the cover letters. This will save you a lot of time, without putting you at a disadvantage.

OSCAR related - anyone know who I can talk to if I can't log in to OSCAR? It tells me my Mac ID isnt recognized, and UTS said they can't help. My Mac ID works for everything else though (MUSGI, Moodle, library computers, etc)

As said above you can have one good resume and tailor your cover letters instead. However if you feel like the job is completely different and it would put you at a advantage making tailored resumes, then I suggest making tailored resumes for certain job categories. These categories should be looking for similar skills/experience.

Hope that helps.

Talk to your faculty's career office (if it has one, I'm not sure if every faculty has their own or not). If there isn't one, talk to central career services. I know my OSCAR ID is managed by the Centre for Business Career Development.

reeves says thanks to sniderj for this post.

I don't know the limit for uploading resumes to OSCAR, but personally I have a lot. The employer usually logs onto OSCAR to view applications (it's not emailed to them), so make sure you leave your resume on there until the recruitment is done.
