How to return empty beer bottles?
So I've just gotten into drinking this summer and I have a question that most will probably find stupid but I'm going to ask it anyways. How am I suppose to return the empty beer bottles to the beer store? You get your deposit back by returning them and so your next purchase will be cheaper. I've only been there twice and I've never seen anyone return the bottles.

Just put them back into the case and take them into the store. Usually there's one side of the Beer Store where they take the empties back, so set your case on the rollers there and they will count them. It's your choice whether they pay cash or as a discount on a purchase.

Do i put the beer caps back on?
And I'm pretty sure buying beer and returning empties go to the exact same place, so what if I want to buy beer as well? Like would I bring the empties to the cashier then go get the new beer? Sounds really stupid if there is a lineup.

No, don't put the beer caps back on, they will just take them all off.

And on your second point, you're right, often there is only one cashier and he'll be taking empties and selling new beer. But if there is multiple cashiers open in a big Beer Store during a busy time, there's only one that they will want you to take empties to, usually right along the wall.

Personally if I'm taking empties back and also want to buy beer that's available on the racks, I'll set my empties on the side at the back of the line, go get my new beer, and then push them both up together.
