Scholarships
If you were given an entrance scholarship out of high school for say the 80-84% range and you were able to get that average (sessional) for third year, would you receive that scholarship again? Or do you need to maintain that average each year of university? Thanks

They aren't renewable. If you get a high 10 avg you might qualify for other ones

umm i thought entrance scholarships were renewable.... i think this b/c my friends been worried that she might not get the average required to maintain the scholarship.....appar ently they renew ur entrance scholarship every year as long as ur cpa is above 9.5 or something like that...
or am i totally wrong here.... actually if i am and the entrance scholarships from mac are not renewable that would be a great relief for me seeing as how i would have lost mine by a meare o.1 cpa thingy off ><><><>< i hate first year btw

Most of the scholarships are automatic, but you have to apply for some, I believe.
EDIT: I've heard that the entrance scholarships used to be renewable with a 9.5 GPA, but due to the recession and all, that's been stopped. |

Mac needs to appreciate its students a lot more. They are the worst when it comes to helping students fund their education! |

Tell me about it! I'm an Int'l student, I came with straight As (which translated to a 95%+ average), and I got nothing. Just because I'm an Int'l student... |

International students dont have entrance scholarship, but if you worked really hard at mac and got good marks you still have chance to get the scholarship. |

Yeah...but entrance scholarships are good incentive, I would say...LOL.
Unfortunately, I wasn't aware - or rather, hadn't realized - how good an average you actually need for scholarships. I am disappoint.

Last year it was 10.9 for international students in life sci. |
