hey - question about 2nd year and where you're able to live. whats the deal with 2nd year housing? is it like... good luck go find your own place sorta deal? are their apartments available if 1 or 2 people just want to live together, etc?

The university doesn't own properties off campus to rent to students or anything, if that's what you're wondering. Its not like you're completely on your own though, since there are tonnes of helpful resources like the OCRC- which will help you find a place and sign a lease, SCSN- which will help you get better integrated into the community, and SOCS- which will help give you that same support network you had in residence.

There are definitely apartments available for 1-2 people, none that are affiliated with the university or anything though. The OCRC can help you find some.

When it does come time to start looking for houses don't panic when people around you start signing leases! There are more then enough houses or apartments you just have to have the patience to find a good one!

I started to panic a little when my friends were starting to sign leases after Christmas and early January, but we easily found a really nice place with a super duper landlord.
