Second Year Summer Courses + OSAP applications
I went to the History Department on Wednesday to get a waver or whatever so I could take 2 second year courses in the summer [because I'm still technically registered in first year] and they referred me to email to Undergraduate Chair. Which I did as soon as I left the office.

Now, I've been waiting to know which courses I'm registered in to go apply for summer OSAP [since I need 4 courses, I didn't want to put courses down I'm not actually registered in].

But, I haven't heard back from the History Department and I'm afraid that it's getting too late, or something. Should I just put down the two history courses [and the courses I'm already registered in] and go hand in my OSAP application? Or should I wait until I have a guaranteeing spot in the two classes so I have the required number of units for OSAP?

Also, how long should I wait until I sent another email to the Chair? [to reasonably think it got lost on the interwebs or something along that sort?] How long do these things usually take?

Thanks

Can no one give me any help?

I just checked the deadlines, and apparently OSAP has to be in before Friday.

So, should I just go apply for that even though I don't have the required amount of courses yet??

Yeah I think you should. If anything, you can contact OSAP later about any changes.

If you apply for OSAP and don't get into the courses, you can always submit a revised application (which presumably results in no funding). Its not optimal, but I imagine missing the OSAP deadline is probably less optimal.

The time a chair takes to respond will really vary, I'd expect at least a week though.
