 | I don't know how open this secret is, but McMaster Professors/Alumni earn more than the average doctors and lawyers.
Here is the link; listed in it is the salary of every faculty member at McMaster;

 | BSB has computer labs that are empty at nights. They close at 11pm on Mon-Thurs though.
 If you live in the higher floors of Brandon, hang out near the mailboxes during a fire alarm. You'll stay warm in the winter, you'll be first to know when the alarm stops (it's still audible), and you'll have first dibs on the elevators going up (as long it's before 9pm).

 Subway is open 24/7, and "Sub-of-the-day" only changes at 3am.

 If you have an exam in IWC, go in through DBAC.

 Agenda's that are given out during welcome week have some pretty good coupons.

 | The floors in the quad buildings are colour-coded (useful when you get turned around in the basement)!
 TSH = Green Stripes
 CNH = Brown Stripes
 KTH = Black Stripes
 Gilmour Hall = All Beige

				Clearing the record about noise in Thode basement

If you email, please be as specific as possible about the location of the noise (a room number is best)The group study rooms, while not in an ideal location (surrounding the quiet study area), have been somewhat soundproofed over the last few years. They are better than before, at least.The silent study room should absolutely be silent. If that's what you want, please use the room.NOT REALLY A SECRET: If other folks are bothering you with noise, but you don't want to complain, we can give you earplugs if you ask at the desk.

If you are frustrated by noise in the quiet study area, please tell us at the desk. Of course the staff can't do anything if they aren't aware there's a problem - it's up to you to let us know. The last thing we want in Thode is pissed off students.

 | Male bathroom in Thode's basement is a constant source of piss smell on the floor. It's 1 door is always open by the janitors, meaning if someone opens the 2nd door you can see guys holding their wieners (some brilliant architecture right there). Also the sink table there always has a puddle there (I don't even know whether it's because the bathroom's users are pigs or because it's broken), kinda like the male bathroom on the 2nd floor of ITB that has been broken for 4 or 5 years now.
 Doubt they fixed any of that over the summer.

 | Um, I'm hoping this thread doesn't become a hate-on for Thode or the libraries. We (the services staff) have very limited say over the custodial care for the library, but we can certainly relay your concerns on, and see if we can't get them resolved.

If you have further suggestions for the University Libraries, please consider using our suggestion tool: http://library.mcmaster.ca/php/suggestionbox.php

 | All the buildings at McMaster (main campus) connect through an underground tunnel which is used for electrical or mechanical issues. |

 | It's not a secret if there is a door and people take the very public staircase in UH to the top.

 | What ever happened to the statue infront of 1280? There was something about engineers having taken it down some how in 2010?
