Share Your Photos of the World
Travelling to different parts of the world opens our eyes to the unknown and rids us of the preconceived notions we have of certain people, places, and cultures. Photography, in a similar way, accomplishes these goals as well. It places the viewer in a new environment without them ever having to leave their current place.
I would like to share with you a few photos I have taken from a trip to Iran, and I encourage you to share your photos of the places that you've been to that you feel passionate about and what to share with others.
Help me in making this Thread a place for members to share their photos of the places they could told their friends "It's so amazing there, I wish you could see it in person".
Cheers!
----
I was planning on posting individual photos in large sizes, but I think it's best if I just post the links to my facebook photo albums. This way I don't have to go through the hassle of photobucketing each photo and all that. You don't need a facebook account to see these photos, just click on the link!
Album 1- http://www.facebook.com/album.php?ai...0254&l=4bd8 4
Album 2- http://www.facebook.com/album.php?ai...0254&l=b572 4
Album 3- http://www.facebook.com/album.php?ai...0254&l=6002 3
I recomment looking at album 3 first as it has some nice photos right after each other.
Hope you enjoy them!

If I could post one that I like.
A group of children curiously look onto a cow on a hill in the mountain village of Masuleh, Iran.

At times like this I wish I had traveled when I was older. I traveled to a number of countries when I was younger as my dad was part of a satellite launching management team. I have been to places like Bolivia, Mexico, France, England, Netherlands, Kenya, Egypt, Sudan, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Syria, India, China and Russia. Unfortunately I was only around 5-9 at the time. All the photo albums are around my house somewhere but I will try and dig them up sometime. =)

Alvand, the links won't work for me...it says they're expired.

Katia, I always prefer photos that include "every day" things rather than "landmarks" They tell me more about a place and its people (and the photographer) than landmark photos can; I can look up landmark-type photos in a book, or on the internet

Yeah exactly. I was in Venice last weekend and everyone was checking out museums, taking pictures of the cathedrals, etc.
My friend and I just went to the local university and got the students to show us a good time. Thats always the best way to explore a new city

I don't have everyday photos of Karachi yet, but I'll try finding them!
Edit: I found a pretty good photo album that captures a good deal about Karachi Life: http://travel.webshots.com/album/556...nAOx?start =0 Also turtle lovers go to page 5-6
Also for people complaining about HSR:

Oooooh awesome thread! I'll find some pics too! What sucks is if you live somewhere, you don't realize the whole taking pictures thing, since it feels so normal :(

This is really cool! I especially like the bus photos!
I'm actually trying to collect photos that inspire people (or just make you happy) - esp. Canadian ones. If you guys have any you can post them at: http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?...iewas=72604809
I'll have to search for my photos of Costa Rica to put up here - they're really fab.
