Should I trade my residence??
I got a single in Brandon(first year). I'm thinking why am I wasting so much money when I'm barely going to be in my room. I was thinking of switching to bunk & loft or a double/triple. What do you guys think? And could I still switch?

Inexplicably, I always found that people tended to socialize near the single rooms in my residence in first year. You'll be instantly popular

It's on the 7th floor and I don't plan on being in my room at all. I'm a social person lol. If I had to study or do homework most likely I would go to the library. I can save up to $700 for double/triple and $1400 for a bunk & loft.

You can no longer switch, it is what it is once you're assigned.. unless you want to live off-campus and cancel . If I were you though, I would keep the single, a lot of people would love to get your single!

That's not the point. The point is you can't switch any more. Once it's assigned, that's it.

Single room would be just freaking perfect for when you sleep.

Count yourself lucky bro. Trust me.
Doesn't matter because this is a pointless thread. You can't just trade residence... that would be SUCH a gongshow.
My question is why would you apply for a single room if you would want to "trade" now? I guarantee you that they didn't just stick you with it because just about everyone I know applied for a single room and not a single person I know had one...

I know someone who traded residences...she had apartment style but really wanted a traditional double, and apartment wasn't even one of her choices. Since it's a somewhat popular choice, they were able to switch no problem. Things might be different this year though, what with the overload of people who accepted Mac's offer and are guaranteed res. It's worth a try, even if they say no. It's more productive to ask them than ask here

i cant believe some one is actually wanting to trade a single room away
trust me the 700$ difference is for the peace and comfort you get at night
imagine the dude ur sharing rooms with has a really bad sleeping habit
snoring all the time, releasing gas etc.

You won't be in it much, huh? You spend like a third of your life sleeping, and its very important you get a good night's sleep in university. Libraries are not very good spots to study, and many people would kill for a lovely room such as yours. Don't be dumb.. keep it.

Ya, i would keep a single. it's very hard to get and at least you have the freedom to do what you wish, bring people over. i don't think you can trade even if you wanted to so, keep it. i had a friend you had a single, and loved it!
