Hey DeeO! All of those courses are taught by Dr. Voros, and if I am not mistaken the setup for each is the same: 50% final and 50% midterm. The only course out of that set that I took is Soc Sci 2O03 or Canadian Children. It deals with a wide range of issues Canadian Children face and discusses strategies for improving their future. Soc Sci 2P03 is pretty similar from what I have heard, except that it deals with Canadian Adolescents instead.

For these classes you really have to take good notes because the prof doesn't post any on WebCT. The only lecture material posts are the podcasts. She also posts midterm outlines which tell you which sections you should be focusing on when you study.

Hope this helps a little. Maybe someone who has taken the rest can say which one is the easiest?

aani, deeO all say thanks to enigmatique for this post.

Was Canadian Children easy...i.e. possible to do well in? It just seems scary b/c your mark relies on two tests.

Thanks!

It is a course that you can do very well in if you attend class and take really detailed notes. She does post her lectures on podcasts but if you skip class, be sure to listen to them.

Oh, I also forgot to mention that for Soc Sci 2O03 the final exam was non-cummulative. I believe it is also like that too for Soc Sci 2P03.

A 12 is possible sure but a little unlikely since there is only two tests: midterm and a final which consist of multiple choice and true or false (mainly true or false). True or false are generally a paragraph with one small detail that is false so it could be tricky. I think though with any course if you take detailed notes, attend class and study it is possible to achieve a 12.

Yeah I really liked Canadian Children. Very interesting material although some was common knowledge but it was enjoyable. I'm taking Canadian Adolescents next year which a few of my friends have previously taken and recommended. Good luck with your course selection.
