A full course load is 5 courses. You're fine.

Nope, that's correct. The full course load at Mac is 5 full-year courses or 10 half-year courses =). But you can definitely take a mix of both full-year and half-year courses. As long as you have 30 units.

Well hold on;

Are the five course you picked full year? Because of they are only one semester, that's far from a full course load.

Generally you take 10 half year courses (one semester) or five full year courses, or some combination of both.

And another point I forgot regarding units, make sure it's equal, it tells you somewhere in the right how many units are in Term 1 and Term 2, so double check that it's 15 and 15

Yepp I know, but I'm pretty sure most people would prefer it to be equal though. And the first year requirements for course selection are kinda ambiguous till now..

24 means you're considered a full time student, but if you plan to finish your degree in four years without summer school being involved, I'd suggest taking 6 units of additional courses to bring your total to 30.

Like Greg mentionned, you're still a full-time student with 24 credits. But it's best to take 30 in order to finish your degree within the four years. It would also help if you mention your program and courses you're taking

30 units is also required for consideration of Dean's List/Provost's List - and other scholarships.
