Worst experience in all my years at Mac. Im entering third year in the coming fall, solar crashed about 3 times at least on Internet explorer, I was told chrome crashes more (not sure). It would automatically log me out even without the time limit occuring, so I did loose a course in the process. I was up at least till 2.30 a.m sorting everything out. I am still stuck with 2 needless courses and have emailed the department for a seat. Someone seriously needs to improve the system :(

It won't even work right now, chrome keeps giving me the 'webpage is not available' page. No such luck on firefox either

Pretty Dissapointed with SOLAR. It's hard to be positive about something, when you end up paying for it throughout the year. Going into 4th year Kin and didn't get into 2 elective courses that I need to complete my minor with. I'll have to email the department for a seat. I even downloaded Auto Solar which logs into SOLAR for you automatically till you can get in. It didn't work as well as the "clicking" system. I was on for an hour and a half, it crashed once, then i was able to get everything selected but only after 2 hours. Needless to say, I shouldn't have to battle with a faulty program to try to get my degree. Instead of putting money into further projects, Mac should invest in revamping SOLAR (after all it is a 1st year student's first glimpse into our school, and who wants trouble from the get go? What does that show about Mac?)

^ Nat, they are revamping SOLAR but it won't be up for another 2 years apparently.

I got on within 40 minutes by clicking away (AutoSolar wasn't working for me) and SOLAR was the slowest I've ever seen while trying to pick my courses. Luckily, this was the first year it never randomly kicked me out.

For two of the courses I wanted to take, SOLAR seems to think that I don't have the prerequisites, when I certainly do.

Surprisingly I've never had any major issues with SOLAR, other then in August when it's open to the entire school. First year maybe took an hour or so, maybe less (considering I got all my courses). But 2nd around 30min, and 3rd year only took 20min. This year no problems and in after 30min. Could be the luck of the draw, but possibly my program. Humanities not the biggest faculty, so even though it gets lumped with others never as many people on as when it opens for the sciences. :p

Also a lot better now than it was in my 1st and 2nd years when you had to fight to get into MUGSI only to have to fight your way into SOLAR within the time limit. So it has improved somewhat.

Got up at the crack of dawn to let the midnight rush pass.
Found all my courses already full.
