Solar Question
I've noticed that in the 10 minutes or so prior to midnight, I can't log into SOLAR because everyone else is trying to do the same, so my question is why people are logging in early? Is it that if you log in early then when midnight comes you will be able to access the course selection (i.e. the thing that says "Undergraduate course selection fall 2012" or whatever it says turns from black to blue and you can click on it once midnight comes even if you are ALREADY on SOLAR?). Because if that is not the case, then why do people log onto SOLAR before midnight??

Also, (this might be a stupid question), if I were to not close that page which says "max number people are on SOLAR they have a 45 minute time limit" and i just press F5 while still on that page, assuming a space opens up on SOLAR, would I then be directed onto SOLAR or would I simply be refreshing that "max out" page, and instead I need to close it and actually try clicking on SOLAR again (I've been doing the latter of those for the past two years).

I don't think you can access SOLAR if you're logged in earlier. It might just be people who had access from previous days? E.g. 4th years can go on it right now... whereas 3rd years will only be able to do so tomorrow...

I think you'd be refreshing the maxed out page.. not 100% sure though.

I don't know if they've change it again, you used to be able to (3-4 years ago) and then you weren't (2-3 years ago). Check the URL to see if the page is the same as the original page or if it's a "terminal" page. Chances are it's a terminal page and won't redirect you back to the original page if there is space.
