It says that solar reopens for pre-registered students that have cleared fees. What does that mean? Did I have to pay tuition and fees already to be able to login to solar on the 11th or must I wait until the 20th.

If means confirming your payment agreement. If you are fully registered you are good. You can find your registration status on MUGSI in Program & Course Summary.

cleared fees correspond to the ppl who took summer school and have an outstanding balance if you are fully registered you'll be able to go on solar on the 11th. don't need to pay tuiton till Sept 1st.

Just no outstanding fees, tuition can be paid by sept 1st

how quickly will classes get picked over on wednesday??? becuase I want to change something but I will be away with no access to a computer

Very quickly. All 20k+ students usually try to get on to change things around asap.

it depends on the course and time for example if a course had 2 tutorials one @ 2:30 on Wednesday and the other at 4;30 on a Friday, the slots for the Wednesday tutorial will be gone in less than a minute(.. i might be exaggerating I might not)

I just need to switch a physics core and one chem lab (for engineering) what do you think the chances a class will be avaiaible later that night (like 12amish)

Depends on which sections you want. If you can get on SOLAR at 8:30 then do so, if you can't then there's nothing you can do about it.
