I watched Primer last night.

was shit.

Moon is a better sci-fi movie which isn't lolsoconfusing

I know it's old, and made by George Lucas, and not named Star Wars or Indiana Jones, but I watched THX-1138... Unbelievable movie. It was made on a a relatively small budget, and it is truly stunning. Not the most "independent" movie but it's pretty darn awesome.

So...speaking of outside of North America...."The Lives of Others" Probably my favourite foreign film (It's German) after Amelie.
Also...non Hollywood-Quebec made film C.R.A.Z.Y. is another fave of mine.

Speaking of German movies: Get the subs for Goodbye Lenin. You will truly enjoy this movie. It stars the kid-hero from Inglorious Bastards, in his native language (the annoying guy that hits on the theatre lady). After Inglorious, I HATED the guy (not the actor, but the character he portrays) and because he acted it so well, made me HATE his face. Starting this movie, I detested the guy, even though he was a regular good guy in Goodbye Lenin. By the end of it though, he turned himself around completely! You feel for this guy.

As was pointed out to me, if an actor can make you HATE his face in one movie, by playing a bad guy so well, and then make you like him in the next movie: He knows how to act like no other.

Just hilarious. xD (although it's probably funnier if you understand french.. subtitles don't do it justice)

"3 Idiots" and "Kaminey"....excellen t Indian movies...something different from the Hollywood fare...try watching 'em with an open mind...you'll need subtitles
