I haven't been able to make my way over to the new Starbucks in the Student Centre yet because there always seems to be a long line up, but I have a couple of quick questions that hopefully someone will be able to answer for me:

1. Do they accept the student cards (ie. meal plans), my guess is yes, but can anyone confirm?
2.Do they accept Starbucks gift cards/ gold cards, and can you get stars for purchasing from there?
3. Do they offer the full Starbucks menu?

Re: 2 - really? I was in there last week (I think) and they told me that they weren't accepting SB gift cards. Has that changed in the last week?

I believe they do not. They could easily answer all three of your questions if you're unsure of the reliability of the replies on here.

I am trying to find out ahead of time, because if they don't accept gold cards then I will go to the Starbucks on main street. It's just that going to the one in the Student Centre would be more convenient.

They do not accept SB gift cards. Was there yesterday and I left and went across the road because I didn't want to pay cash.

They don't accept Starbucks Gift Card but plan on accepting it by end of this month or mid next month.

as far as i know, they accept the student card. not gift cards. you can earn points at that location but cannot redeem it.

Ish001, you have used your card/ the phone app to earn gold stars at the Starbucks in MUSC?

That would be too much to ask, a person who goes to the source to solve their problems? When they almost certainly walk right by said source on a daily basis? Nahhhh why ask the Starbucks employee when you can post a message and have Billu post a not so funny third person comment that he probably gets a good chuckle out of?

I think I figured out why Starbucks on campus doesn't take gift cards yet. The one on campus is probably "licensed concept" -- not an official corporate store ... at least that's what one of my friends told me (who works for Starbucks). Hopefully they'll fix that soon.
