Strategically deferring Midterms
I am not ready for my commerce midterm. I got an A- on the first one, and I do not want to risk getting less than that.
Should I defer it? Also, for the final, I will have 9 days to study for it.

Yes. I have never deferred one, I am not familiar with the process?
Don't I just do it online? I have not been feeling well, too.

Ehhhh... it depends.
What happens if the second midterm is fairly simple too? And then you have an exam that is worth much more and is more difficult.

Yeah. I'm not saying it's a bad idea, but you may want to be really careful with that. You have to communicate with your professor about it, and some have apparently been a bit unreasonable with it. My housemate deferred a test and had to write it the next day, so it didn't buy him much time.
I don't see any reason why you shouldn't do it, other than the obvious "that's cheating the system" nonsense. If you've thought it out carefully, seems fine to me.

I've been having a massive headache lately, it's hard for me to study (obviously). My professor is fairly strict (R. Cossa), not sure what to do...

If you genuinely are sick, then it's not a bad idea to defer it. I don't think they're allowed to demand doctor's notes or give you a zero on whatever it was that you missed. But it is up to them to choose how you make up for it. So you could be looking at an exam worth a lot, or the test may not be deferred enough (e.g., the next day or day after). As long as you're alright with the possibility that your exam may be worth a lot, it seems like a good idea. Studying when you're sick isn't easy, I don't envy you there.

you will do fine, i never took the course as i transfered from the faculty of science, however the questions do seem fairly self explanatory and Rita Cossa is kind of ***** and might have you bring in an actual medical note.
