Students with Disabilities

I was reading about the Accessibility for Ontarios with Disabilities Act (AODA), and now TAs must complete a brief course ensuring they adhere to its guidelines. They had some slightly amusing "bad" remarks (You know how it is, when you're watching a particularly cheesy video on say, WHMIS and and the one guy says something that's clearly meant to emphasize how stupid it is, like "Am I supposed to drink this acid?").
So it led me to post a topic, because Mac (as far as I've seen) has had good protocols in place to help disabled students. Here are a few things I'd like to know:
a) If you, or anyone you know is/was a disabled student at McMaster, how did you find McMaster's protocols? Did they help? And of course I'm referring to either a physical or learning disability.
And the more controversial ones (DISCLAIMER: these do not reflect my opinions on the matter, these were all things mentioned in the video I just watched. I'd simply like to know what you guys think):
b) "But how can someone in a wheelchair be a nurse?" Do you think students with physical disabilities have the right to enter any program? What about the more physically demanding ones?
c) "What are students with learning disabilities doing in university anyway?" Do you feel as though students with learning disabilities are "unfairly" taking up university spots that "fully capable" students could enroll in instead? Is it unfair that students with learning disabilities can get extra time to write their midterms?

If you wasted more time reading this than you did posting your response, then you really need to learn to read faster.
