I do hope you realise that Coltrane wasn't some sort of underground bop musician. Most people have heard of him (minus a couple of engineers, but...they're engineers, give them a break)
Coltrane is pretty much as pop as you can get in terms of bebop/hardbop

Well, i just discovered Black Sun Empire, which i have to say is one of the few conservative D&B bands out there nowadays, especially considering that Pendulum is now vocalizing almost all of their tracks :(, not to say that's a terrible thing, just makes them less D&B and more Alt. Rock.
