Since they want to reduce the amount of glass in a residence, a 26oz is the largest volume container you're allowed to have. I believe the limit on the quantity of alcohol is a 26er of hard liquor and 24 cans of beer at the same time.

Mind you, no one is checking to make sure your 26ers aren't 40s or 60s, so don't worry about that too much. And just drink your beer out of cans instead of bottles and you'll be fine.

Is that quantity per person or per room? :p

As far as I can tell, it's per person.

I emailed housing about bringing hermit crabs. They take up the same amount of space as fish and do not make any noise or anything but housing said no.

Bring them.

Get a stick and a pair of shades and put it next to the tank. If a CA walks in and gives you flak about it, pick up the stick, put on the shades and say "What? Crabs?! The guy at Petsmart said it was a fish!".

Or accuse them of sexual harassment for accusing you of having crabs.

Of course you can. They just don't allow anything that can potentially be a hazard. They can't stop you from straightening your hair

The rules prevent you from using cooking devices in your room. It doesn't mean you can't bring it, it just means you can't use it in your room. You would have to use it in the kitchen.

You can keep it in your room but you'd have to use it in the kitchen instead.

Does this mean I cannot bring a small personal coffee maker? I wanted to bring a tassimo machine, it just makes little single cups.

You can bring it, but it's against the rules to use it in your room.

Against the rules, but my friend had one and never got in trouble. Not like they'll walk by and smell fresh coffee and book you
