Definitely the summer orientation. I went to it in my first year, and it's definitely the time to bring your parents. While you go off and explore the campus, your parents can go to talks with people presenting stuff about the university life and what to expect. For instance, a couple of friends and I did a library tour and a walk around the campus to familiarize myself with the buildings while our parents sat through a talk on university finances and budgets. Welcome Week, on the other hand, is more directed towards you. It's all mostly faculty/residence-based activities designed to welcome you to the university and help ease the transition from high school to university. Both Orientation and Welcome Week are awesome and loads of fun, however, so I'd advise you to go to both!
