Summer School
So I was thinking about taking Chem 1A03/1AA3 in summer school. Has anyone done this or summer school in general? If anyone commuted, how did you find it or would you rather have done it elsewhere? Also, how is doing chem in summer school? Is it easier than in the regular term? And how is the workload? I know it's a lot of questions but any help is appreciated! If it helps, I commute from Toronto daily, so I was told that I could also do summer courses at York or UofT as well.

The workload is more intense cause of time constraints. I found the summer teacher much much better, I personally disliked Locke. The course is the same if not the tests may be easier

Overall, would you recommend it for a first year?

Thousands of first year students do summer school - in both first-year and second-year courses - every year. So really, is there any reason you can think of why you wouldn't be able to? That's something only you can answer.

That depends on what you want to do with your summer and how it affects your degree. Example, taking it in summer may affect your second year choice for life sci

I was supposed to take Chem 1A03 this term and Chem 1AA3 next term, so I was thinking of taking the combined course in the summer just to make my course load a bit easier. How would it affect my second year choice?

There are conditional acceptances into second year programs. You should go talk to the academic advisors, you can just ask the people at the front desk, they're helpful!

If you're doing it at Mac, there is no "combined" course. They're still separate courses in separate terms in the summer.
