! Summer School / Co-op Help
Okay, my situation is weird and I don't know what to do about it.

I just finished (kind of) first year engineering.

At the end of first semester, I decided to take the co-op course second semester.

Due to misinformation, course load and no room for the course in my schedule, I decided to drop co-op. I did so on mugsi. They kept sending me emails telling me I should do this and do that or else I can't see co-op jobs. Boo hoo, I dropped co-op, so I ignored them.

Now, I want to register for an elective in summer school (I also dropped macroeconomics. I REALLY didn't want to take that course). However, when I go to SOLAR, the only summer course option it gives me is the co-op course.

Also, I registered for all co-op second year courses. Will I be denied entry to second year if I didn't do co-op first year?

You should contact your department ASAP!

The upper year co-op courses are NOT actual courses. They're just there for the department to be able to make a notation on your transcript that you did complete a work term.

The only "co-op" course that is actually a course is 1EE0 (or whatever the code is now) where they go through resume and cover letter writing and other job finding related stuff.

Go to JHE/A214 and talk to them. They'll be able to help.

You will not be denied entry into 2nd year because you didnt do the co-op course.

It isnt even really a course, its just a pass/fail zero unit thing you have to do before companies that hire you are eligible for tax rebates for taking you on as a co-op student.

The situation with solar seems a bit wonky though, definetly go to A214.

I beleive they have several "fast" sessions for 1EE0 in case you do get a job, they will be posted in the Co-op office (back of A214)

Yup. I got an email reply from Jessica Farrel saying that I can do it next year.

However, I'm still getting the following. Any advice?

what do you see when you hit okay?

It is fine for Engineering I because you dont get bumped up till later in the summer anyway... its just the program you are currently in, from what i see anyway.

Do any of you know whether you will still recieve your final marks for the term that just ended if you don't yet pay your summer school fees for 2009? I am still missing my BIOLOGY 1A03 mark.

Thanks

Interim reports come out until May 2nd. Final grades don't come out until May 30th...so if you're missing a mark right now it has nothing to do with fees for the upcoming term.

Sorry, I don't understand...What is the difference between interm and final? So the grades I have now are not my final grades?
