I believe you need to have a CA of at least 7.0 to even be considered. Depending on the number of students who apply, and the limited number of seats, you will probably need an average much higher than that. You can sort of fast track your first year in Commerce by taking as many mandatory Commerce courses for first year for your electives.

You'll want to take Econ 1B03, Econ 1BB3, comp sci 1TA3 (antirequisite for the first year comp sci that commerce students take), math 1M03 (and 1F03 prior to that if you don't have grade 12 calculus), and stats 1L03 if you don't have grade 12 data management. Poli sci 1G06 will do for your cross-cultural requirement. I believe you can substitute commerce 1B03 (open to non-commerce students only) for commerce 1E03.

Then, just get a high CA and you won't even be behind.

this is how mac grades: http://registrar.mcmaster.ca /calen...-13/pg145.html! just work hard in your first year, i know that getting an 80 may not sound too difficult coming out of high school but in first year a lot of students do bad, sometimes because of the attitude that they can get good grades without working hard for it. Good luck

You should see an advisor ASAP to see if it's possible to transfer before classes start. I know some people who have done that with other faculties (they transferred during welcome week), but commerce is a bit more competitive so it might not be possible. It's definitely worth a try, though.
