Taking a course at another university
Hi there!

I am planning on taking a summer course at another university and I am wondering would the course be considered pass or fail? Would the mark get transferred or would it fully just be as credit? Also, how would grad/professional schools see this? Would they see the mark from the other university?

Courses taken at other universities on a Letter of Permission will be reported back to McMaster on a pass/fail basis. So it won't affect your cumulative GPA and it'll appear as 'COMPLETED' on your transcript. Grad/professional schools will only see that the course has been completed. However, if grad/profesional schools require the course you took in the summer to have a certain grade, you will have to attach the transcript from the university you took the course at to your Mac transcript.
