Teaching English Overseas in France?
I was wondering if anyone had any information about teaching english overseas! I know a lot of people like to go overseas to Asian countries, but I was specifically interested in France. My questions specifically pertain to what companies are good to go with, what paperwork might be involved, and specific qualifications/training/etc. might be involved.

My boyfriend is teaching English in Korea already so I'm familiar with process! But I have no idea when it comes to interest in European countries. I hope to start January 2011.

If anyone with experience could let me know, that would be great!

I wouldn't suggest going through with it if the company is called Nova. There was an issue a couple years ago where they didn't pay their teachers. A quick Google search can give you more information about that company.

I have two friends who did it. One who went specifically to teach, and one who got hired when they were on exchange.

You can check out this article on Liam's experience here: http://talentegg.ca/incubator/2009/0...ormer-teacher/

Hi Annie

I'm actually applying to teach english in France next year through the same program that Liam did (in the above post)
Here are the links to the websites:

http://www.ciep.fr/#0

and the Canadian info one: http://www.ambafrance-ca.org/spip.php?article3190

I haven't really heard anything about other programs but this one was reccommended to me by French professors.

Good luck!
