Switch Crosby and Lecavalier and replace Price with Ward (even though the third goalie spot is just a formality and they won't get any playing time unless the top 2 get injured/suspended) and that would look like the perfect roster. Also, Savard wasn't invited to camp, so I would replace him with one of Toews/E. Staal/Spezza.

Hello Matt
When it comes to Team Canada, this whole Leafs/Habs rivalry is set aside (I can't believe I just said that) :p.
In all seriousness, I chose Price simply because of his play in the 2007 World Junior Championship. He was the reason why Team Canada beat the U.S. in the semifinal shootout and the Russians for the gold.
As for Pronger... He's old, and a has-been. He doesn't compare to the defensemen that I've mentioned.

Yeah I know he wasn’t invited to camp. However, according to Yzerman, if you aren’t invited to camp, it doesn’t necessarily mean you won’t be playing for Team Canada. I see Savard having another big season. After all, he’s a point-per-game NHLer. However, I wouldn't mind Toews either.

But is that really fair? The players at camp are working their asses off in order to make the team. It wouldn't be really fair to the players if someone not at camp also makes the team.
Anyways, it's Yzerman's decision and he can do whatever he wants. I just want to watch some hockey!

Way to read the whole thread. That was corrected.
And if you're gonna call me names, put some effort into it. Grade 2 is so 25 years ago.

In an interview he said he wasn't bummed out about it. He says he's still young and has plenty of time. But he did mention that it would have been nice to see how he could have done compared to Canada's greatest players.

I'm curious to know, why are a lot of people putting Crosby on the wing? I know he's more of a utility player than Lecavalier, but he's just too good of a playmaker to not have at center. He's also better at faceoffs.

b/c we have way too many centers and hes a guy who could definitely make the move to wing w/o any difficulty...id consider it more of a compliment to his versatility than a criticism of his playmaking ability....its also needed if hes gunna play with iginla and lecavalier which i would consider a dream top line...unless lecavalier was moved, which i dont think is as good of a move...and yes hes good at faceoffs, but still far from dominant
