Their service on campus is quite good, compared to anyone else at least. In some lecture halls no cell phones work so obviously it won't work there, but I've found the signal to be consistently good everywhere else.
The customer service is all right, not any worse than Bell or Rogers, and it's nice to be able to switch your plans around whenever you want. That said, they're still a big cell company, and they're all notorious for having lousy customer service.

I have a monthly plan with them (too stupid to remember the correct terminology) but I'm not bound by any year-long contracts so I can cancel within a month which is pretty sweet. I have a Blackberry so their Social Plans with unlimited text/facebook/twitter/my5 is also really convenient.
The only place I really have trouble with signals is MDCL lecture halls and some basement lecture halls in TSH/CNH/KTH.
They have a location at University Plaza, I believe, so if you're having phone troubles you can easily walk/bus over if you need something taken care of immediately.

I'm under their umbrella services with Koodo and i can say that i haven't had a single issue with reception in McMaster or Hamilton in general. The best customer service is the one that you never have to use right

They customer service is the best, hands down. They actually slash your bills sometimes if you accidently screw up and do overage data/minutes/etc.
Overall good company, better than the competition.

telus is horrible.
I have my info put online for paying off my phone etc... YOU CANNOT cancel a pay per minute plan or remove your credit card subscription (i.e pay every month) online. That is BULL. Just their way of keeping you with their service.
go somewhere else and thank me later.

All the phone companies are crooks and will f*ck you in one way or another, you should know this by now.

I had Telus for 2 years and the customer service I experienced wasn't very good at all. I constantly found extra charges on my bill (like texts and calls I didn't make). I had to spend hours on the phone with them in order to get them to remove it.

I never had problems with Fido, but that was before they were owned by Rogers. I've been with Telus and Rogers more recently and have had a ton of bad things to say about both of them. If I did have to choose though between Rogers and Telus I would say Telus.
