Test Regrading Policy
If there's an adding error on a test, does that count as getting the test regraded and would I have to go through the whole process of writing an application?

Since you are low on details, I am going to say no. Profs can change your mark anytime before finals, but getting finals regraded is where it becomes a pain

Exams are abit different and more complex. But as for tests, you can always bring a test back no matter what. For a full regrade, most profs will only do it if it is in pen only. Some profs also have the possible policy that if your regraded mark is lower, then the lower mark sticks. Some profs may not even do regrades at all but you could argue for extra marks if you bring it to the TA who marked it.

Let's say there was an adding mistake and I got 11/15 instead of 14/15. Could I just bring that to the attention of the marker, or would I have to fill out a form to get the midterm regraded?

Is a midterm a test? Yeah, it's different than a full regrade, and I don't want to argue for marks, I was just wondering if it was a simple adding mistake, who would I go to?

I have never seen an application for a regrade of a non-final, you usually just go talk to prof or TA or email them and let them know of the error. If there is more, they will tell you what to do

if its a class where your TA hands something back to you, tell them the addition was wrong and they will fix it or will direct you to the person in charge of all that. for example, this happened to me in bio 1a03 and it was off by 1 mark so my TA said just go to alaistar tracey and he fixed everything right there. if ta cant do anything, they will direct u to who can fix an adding mistake.

You are fully entitled to addition errors. A full regrade is dependent on prof.

One of my multiple choice tests had an inconsistent answer key, and as a consequence, one of my multiple choice got marked wrong when it was correct for other versions of the exact same question. Is it too late to see the I.A in January?

Email the IA now, or better email your instructor about it. Your instructor should be able to help you out.

Do it now before final marks are submitted. It's easier to change.

Thanks starfish and jim1. I emailed my IA a week ago, but still no response. I guess it isn't a big deal, I'll only bring it up to him in person if this actually makes the difference between a 10 or an 11 in the course.
