No they're not if you read the little descriptions on both of them.

i took this course last year and it was completely full.. everyone went to the first class and the prof told us what the course was about, the next couple days it seemed like a ton of people dropped it. i think a bunch of people were expecting to just chill and watch movies, but its more about analyzing films and plays and looking at the meanings behind them... so anyways if you keep trying you will probably be able to get in, once people see what the class is about they may find they arent as interested! you can drop/add courses i think within the first 2 weeks so just keep checking everyday until the drop/add date. also, if your not registered in the course you can still go sit in and see what its all about (as long as theres enough seats for the people actually registered)... just keep trying and youll probably be able to get in !!
