Are there still people on campus?
I was just wondering if there are still people on campus considering classes have ended, or is it very much empty? Also, will the union market still be open? Thanks.

It'll probably be empty except for Welcome Day. There are still professors and Masters/PhD students on campus though.

It's pretty empty... but not completely. There are still students that work on campus, work in labs, professors, administrative staff, etc.

I wouldn't advise being on campus any time past 5... can be a tad creepy to say the least...

Other than winter break, this is the emptiest time of year at mac; most people simply don't have a reason to be on campus. On Friday I saw groups of kids in orange and purple t-shirts that said "group leader" or something on them, I guess welcome week volunteers are gearing up for that, or something.

I think there are still the summer camps too during the day. Every time I see them running around I mutter to myself about how the first years look younger every year and then realize that they're literally ten year olds at camp.

Also there are some people who come to go Titles, to study for standardized tests, to pick up stuff/hand in stuff for the registrar's office/cashiers, or who are just coming on campus to meet up with people. Oh and maintenance workers are still around.
In general, however, it feels quite dead, compared to the usual 20,000+ undergrads alone, that are around campus.

My friend's brother is on campus in the days with a bunch of other guys on the football team running some kind of event with high school kids. I'm not sure how long that will last though.

I find Mac incredibly peaceful during the summer. It's nice to see the ebb and flow across the year.
But yes, it does pretty much appear deserted.

Yep. Profs, grad students, undergrad research students.
Mac in the summer is far nicer than it is during the year (although it looks really nice in the autumn and spring). No crowds.
UM is open, although it has shorter hours (I think it closes at 5).
