What time does SOLAR reopen?
Unless I am mistaken, a McMaster timetable is released on the 9th and SOLAR reopens for picking cores, labs, tutorials on the 11th.
What I am wondering is what time does it open at? Is it midnight like last time?

Aug 11th I believe
And Im guess at midnight. Or after 3am cuz the solar updates itself from 2am to 3am (I think). So at midnight or after 3am on the 11th.
Also, on the 9th, you recieve your timetables with the cores, labs, etc. Thus, when SOLAR re opens again, its just to change timings of the courses around.

What does SOLAR mean by "fees cleared by August 10"? If students already paid for their tuition then they get first picks on SOLAR?

Fees cleared means you have no outstanding fees on your account, and of course you must accept and confirm your payment agreement for next year.

Wait. When you say "no outstanding fees", do you mean that for the year 2009-2010? And How does this work for first years coming in this fall?
When can First year students log into Solar?
Thanks. (im a bit confused)

Yes, it's from 2009-2010.
Since first years don't have any debts from last year, all they have to do is accept their payment agreement before August 10th and SOLAR will open on the 11th for them.

I find that going to sleep early to wake up early is a lot better than staying up really late, waking up really late and find that you just wasted 3/4 of your day.

Lol, I personally hate it. It's bad enough that in summer I sleep on average at 1 and wake up at 12-1. Whenever SOLAR opens at midnight i usually end up sleeping at 3 and for some reason I wake up at like 4-5. Eat dinner, check up on MacInsiders and Facebook and then go back to bed...
