In the mean time, why not have a donation countdown each month until you reach your server costs?(ie $X still needed for this month!) You shouldn't have to pay for this out of pocket... it's ridiculously useful, surprised someone from Mac or UTS hasn't reached out to you.

Actually, the google ad on there has accumulated just enough to pay for all the server costs for a year. The money just has to go to me first before I pay for the server hosting people.
Also, judging by the amount of donations I've received, 100% of students aren't willing to donate, lol.
Forcing people to pay to use it or something like that would also be a massive dick move in my opinion.

I wasn't implying that you force people to pay... just have the 'count down' as a way of guilt tripping them for donations.
Regardless, it's moot since the Google ad is paying out enough. Maybe leave a note telling people to click on it a few times?  |
