The best part about taking 2I03 is that the course it replaces (Commerce 2FA3) is an absolute nightmare.

Who did you have as a professor? If you had Deaves, there is no way to call the course "easy". His midterms and especially the exam had some insane questions on it.

yeah I had Deaves.
Just use the formula sheet. I got a 12 in it.

Compared to 3FA3 which I took in summer a week ago, 2FA3 is a walk in the park.

Well, I got a 12 as well, but I'm just saying that you really had to earn it in my opinion. The formula sheet didn't help solve some of his convoluted questions that he put on his tests.

My friends who took 3FA3 this summer said they found it a lot easier than 2FA3. I guess everyone is different though.

I have had Dr. Reid for astronomy before, but for planetary 2E03 . He is a really engaging prof. He really knows his stuff and has many interesting things to share. He sometimes can throw a bit of a curve ball with assignments, but they are always fair, an usually interesting.

As for 1F03, I don't recall the midterm specifically, but the class was mostly assignment based, and there was a final project, where they asked you to either research an astronomical phenomena, or to actually use some of the telescope time they provided and go and look at things. The course may have changed some in the 3 years since I've taken it though.

I would definitely recommend it as an elective, especially if you have any interest in astronomy at all. It was fun, and it's also a great chance to be exposed to the other activities that Mac does in relation to astronomy.

Yes but Cubit, Astronomy is Impossible to get into! I missed out on it last year even though I logged in within an hour of the start of deadline, this year it took me around 2 hours to get into SOLAR yet still Astronomy 1F03 was full. Absolutely wierd.
