Live in res. Saudi Arabia is a pretty long drive, from what I hear.

From Oakville Carpool to Mac - Student pass is $165/month
For 8:30 classes, I take 47E bus which leaves at 7:44 AM and gets to mac at around 8:25 AM. Commuting is not bad at all.
EDIT: Oh, and it goes through HWY 407 not QEW as someone mentioned in previous posts

The commenter just thought that the OP was driving. OP didn't say that he was taking the bus back when he posted.

If your commute is over 1 hour, I suggest living on residence or close to campus, otherwise you lose close to 300 hours in your school year purely in commute.. plus if its GO bus, there goes a crap-load of money per month.

Assuming your total commute time is 2h both ways you'll be commuting for 10 hours a week. There are about 10 weeks of school each term, so thats about 200h wasted commuting. Plus, if you commute you wont be able to go back home if you have a break for a few hours. You'll have to lug around your backpack the whole day and be stuck in the library or student center which gets packed quite quickly.
Personally I'd suggest living on residence, or even renting a room close to Mac. Commuting leaves a toll on you.

Depends on your program as well xD I commute everyday and I manage to find time to do homework. If you have a heavy workload, I would suggest residence then you don't waste an extra hour on pure travel.
