Transferring out of McMaster to Ryerson?
I'm first year at Mac and I'm not feeling my program so I want to transfer to Ryerson.

Does anyone know how I would go about doing this or are there any advisers that could help me with the transition?

Talk to your academic advisor in your faculty. Which faculty are you in? If you don't know the advisor just go in to the office and ask they will direct you to the right person

This is unfortunate that you are leaving us, but at the end of the day, it's your personal choice. The first step is to apply through the OUAC:
http://www.ouac.on.ca/ouac-105/
I think you have to use OUAC 105D...then i think it would be a good idea to get in contact with ryerson, see what they want..maybe they want some documents form you and such, so it would a good idea to get in touch with them after you apply.

Mac is a great school, but as i said earlier it's your choice at the end of the day. Good luck with everything!

im actually interested in transferring to ryerson as well! I would say call ryerson and find out if your credits are eligible to be transferred to the program you would like to go into.

The first step is to apply through the OUAC: http://www.ouac.on.ca/ouac-105/

After you apply, call ryerson and see what they want from you...always stay in touch with them, don't just apply and leave it until the end of the year..that way you will not miss any important documents that they want from you.

EDIT: I don't think ryerson will tell you if your courses will get transfer credits...after you get your acceptance letter, ryerson will tell you what courses got transferred; courses that you don't have to repeat when you go there.... also keep in mind that you need at least a 4(C-) to get a transfer credit for any course that you took at Mac.

What does "not feeling their program" mean and what makes the OP think he'll be able to "feel the program" at Ryerson?

That is for the OP to know, and for anyone who has nothing else better to do but to find out, to wonder about.

I'm just unfamiliar with the word "feel" in that context. I guess it means the OP doesn't like his program.

Oh, I see. Yes, in that context it usually means what you said. They just don't see their program as what they thought of it to be as initially, they don't see themselves completing four years in it, etc..

Alexmahone says thanks to anonanon987 for this post.
