Triple Room Request
i have two friends with whom i want to share a dorm room with but when applying for residence on https://resapp.mcmaster.ca/, you are only allowed to put one other person's student id number. What should i do to guarantee that we end up in the same room? dead line is may 28th, and i've already e-mailed mcmaster a few days back but they still havn't responded. Thanks

I don't think you're allowed to choose more than one person to bunk with. Also, are you sure you want to be living in the same room with your friends? This is something you need to think carefully about. At first it's all fun and games but eventually you see their habits. It's not like in a house where you all have your own rooms the three of you will be sharing the same room. You will constantly see them. It's comforting to know that your friends are nearby and living in the same residence would be awesome but same room gets a bit iffier. But back to your original question I don't think you can choose more than one other person. however, I highly recommend that you call Housing & Conference Services to be certain.

There options now where you can request to room with more than one other individual. But, you need to contact Housing & Conference Services in order to do so. Since the deadline is only a few days away, I would suggest calling H&CS in order to make sure your application goes in on time.

As Nicole said, having friends in other rooms or other residences is good cause you can hang out at their place when you need to and its always nice to see your friends in classes and for lunch since there's lots to talk about, but once you live with them you're seeing them a lot more frequently and it can sometimes hurt friendships rather than strengthen them if you become annoyed by their living habits.
